Champions League

In this week the Champions League will have the second leg of the semifinals between French Club Lyon v.s. German Club Bayern Munich. This game will be played in France in Lyon's Stadium. The Germans have a 1-0 lead against the French squad thanks to a solid strike from Arjen Robben and a slight deflection from Muller. Lyon has the capability to over turn this score because they are in their ground soil and their fans cheering them. Also, another factor is that Bayern's superstar Franck Ribery will not be in the pitch since he was sent off and booked a red card in the first leg. This game will be electrifying because from this game we'll know the first finalist of the 2010 Champions League.

In the other semifinals the all powerful and currently champion winners Spanish squad FC Barcelona Will face Italian squad FC Inter. FC Inter has a solid 3-1 lead against Barcelona. Wesley Sneijder scored twice and the Argentine Diego Milito scored for the Italian Club. Although it's a good lead the Italian Club can't be let their guard go down. Barcelona has the ability to make a comeback and make it to the final. Barcelona has a solid team from keeper to striker. All of their players are in top shape. This is so called an anticipated final due to the fact that these two teams are battling is their domestic league to win the title.

The final is to be played on May 22 in the legendary Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in Madrid, Spain. That's the home stadium of the Barcelona's arch rivals, Real Madrid. The "Merengues" failed to make it to the finals, and a shot to the tittle in their stadium in the quarter finals against FC Inter.

My prediction for the semifinals would be that Bayern Munich will advance to the final and face Barcelona. I might even say that FC Barcelona could become champions again. Barcelona has a great squad. all of their players are currently in top shape, despite Iniesta from some injuries. Barcelona is the most solid team out of the European region. I wouldn't be surprise if Barcelona takes the whole thing, again!
